Our challenge

Our challenge was to create a new home page. We decided to perform a design sprint (developed at GV), which is a five-day process for answering critical business questions through design, rapid design prototyping, and testing ideas.

The nature of design sprints creates a space for team members outside of production to collaborate, reach goals and create solutions to project challenges. The multidisciplinary approach gives designer ideas from all different perspectives, making the final product more holistic.

What were the goals/outcome of a design sprint?

By running a design sprint, we got a concrete and measurable outcome in just 5 days, thanks to user validation built into the process.

By getting from problem to solution without running errands, and time spent on back and forth conversations, we were able to convince investors faster, reduce risks, avoid unnecessary development, and maximize company's ROI. This allowed us to:

  • Minimize time wasted.
  • Align cross-functional team collaboration through co-creation in a very compressed time-frame.
  • Give structure to a collaborative design process.
  • Act as fuel for the product design process by giving it an initial direction.
